We set out to make the best moleskin shirt possible. This new classic uses a heavyweight 8.5oz moleskin from Brisbane Moss. This fabric is a fantastic stretch moleskin fabric which will give you a touch of extra mobility and comfort. With the 8.5oz weight, this garment will work well as a shirt or shirt jacket.


This product embodies craftsmanship; simplicity of design, high-quality materials and sturdy construction. The result is a shirt that is crafted to wear in, not out.

  • Moleskin is an 8.5oz, 98/2 cotton/elastine blend for a touch of stretch for extra comfort, from Brisbane Moss, England

Construction

  • Double needle stitching throughout the garment
  • Double needle felled stitching on side seam and underarm for greater durability in areas that receive additional wear and tear
  • Hidden button down collar to prevent fly-away collars
  • Garment is fully lined with moleskin, torso, under-collar, collar, cuff and sleeves
  • Two chest patch pockets with flap and button-through closure
  • Natural arc rear yoke

Fit Guide

The Plains Stretch Moleskin Shirt is produced with the "Barcelona" from Brisbane Moss, England. We found that this fabric shrinks approximately 3% after normal washing and drying (hot/warm water and hot/warm tumble dry).

Although 3% may not sound like much, this can make a shirt, which fits a touch too loosely, fit very well. 

All of our garments come unwashed and will fit like the pictures on the right. If your garment fits perfectly prior to washing, we recommend dry cleaning or cold
wash and lay flat to dry.

  • Shirt fits slightly slimmer after normal wash/dry
  • Torso length shortens .5" - .75"
  • Sleeve length shortens .5" - .75"

How to measure

Chest: Take the tape measure and wrap it around the widest part of your chest. Keep the tape measure straight and level at back and parallel to the ground.

Sleeve: Take the tape measure and start at the middle of the back of your neck. Run the tape measure over the point of the shoulder and down the outside of the arm to the wrist. If you find that your sleeve length falls between two of our sizes, choose the longer of the two.

Waist: Measure around your natural waistline.
